Question: I had installed xampp in windows xp sp2 when i run index.php something is wrong with the xampp installation?

I just installed Xampp on my computer. When I type in http:/ / localhost/ xampp/ or https:/ / 127.0.0.1/ xampp/ I get A Xampp for windows page. This page tells me I have successfully installed Xampp on my Comp. It also leads to the php(info) page on my Comp, which looks fine. When i try to run the index.html in my Xamp htdocs it works fine. But when I try and run the index.php file it says "Something is wrong with the XAMPP installation :- ( same thing with WAMP please help me

Are you starting XAMPP? For it to function, you have to start it and when finish, stop it. Once you start it, when you open a local html document, it will have the url as localhost/ ......

Try to give us more info. i use XAMPP...
