Try creating a file manually instead of using manually, if it is allowed. If the problem still persists, use index.htm or default.html or default.htm Usually, they should have guidelines about which will be the default page that will open up. Or it might be that there is a server problem of some sort. But usually, the manual of your website should let you know. If nothing works, and you know that you are allowed to create files called .htaccess, you can actually set up any page to automatically load up even if it isn't index.whateverextension. Look up .htaccess tutorials as well if you do not wish to make an index.something file. But yes, try the other extensions and consult the forums of your free host. Should help. |
