Do you need science and math to work in video games?
Ok i'm in 9th grade right now and I want to work in the video game industry when i'll be older. I don't know exactly in what job, but probably in something like designer or game journalist. Apparently you need math and science to do that kind of job designer . I have grades of about 80 % in math and science right now. And my parents keep telling me that I need more then that to be able to get a job later on. But I don't think I really need to get like 95 % in math and science to do game design, and that with my 80 average i'd be okay. I know that you need computer programming skill and all but i'm just talking about science and math, the things you learn when you're in 9th grade pretty much. Am I wrong?

Can i play video games using phone connection?
I live out in the middle of nowhere so I'm to far away to get DSL. The only internet i get is the internet through my phone which i plug my phone into my computer using a USB. I don't no if an air card works and satellite is too expensive and i really want to play online. The phone i use is a HTC fuze and don't know what the download and upload speeds are. Video game creating help ....please?
i always wanted to make a video game and i found a couple of programs that i could use to design video games like flash and game maker preferably flash problem is i don't wanna pay for the program and even a free program i think flash, and game maker 7 are my computer doesn't have that much gb. So i need an easy to use program, cause im not a genius and don't have much patience a free program,and one that installs with very little kb say around 500 kb,if that's too little than the most would be 750, if that's too little than tell me the smallest amount of kb it would take I would like to make an action strategy or platform sorta game take mario's platform style boards with cool fighting mechanics and u got the action platform and take bomber man and arm em to the tooth with guns,grenades,and a swiss army knife and change his maze to a birds eye view of a war field and u got the action slash strategy if u could please help me it'd be greatfulli dont want to make a serious 3d game or anything like that just something simple like a flash game etc.
Youtube Partner Video Game Footage, Can I still be a Partner?
Okay, so this morning, I get an email from Youtube, they're saying that they want to pay me for ads they want to put on my video because it has like 25,000 views. However, it is a tutorial for something in Halo, and after I read the information on Youtube's website about copyrights," Here are some specific examples of things that would make a video ineligible Your video contains content that you didn't create or get permission from its creator to use, such as music video images photographs or artwork live event > > > video game footage< < < any other copyrighted content" But, I have viewed channels like Machinima, and last time I checked, I don't think that they have permission from Bungie or Infinity Ward to advertise video footage from video games. There is no music in my video, just footage. Could I still apply for Youtube Partners?
My MacBook downloads videos/games as documents?
Anytime I try to download a video or like this game called Icy Tower it downloads, but when I go to Finder and click on it, it opens in a weird code with Text Edit. How can I make sure it downloads correctly?

What does it mean if video game and .mpeg sound works, but Windows system sounds and flash do not?
Okay, so I busted my computer. Whoever installed my graphics card stuck my WinTV card right underneath it, so the graphics card fan was blasting on to a reflective surface. My card kept overheating, and I couldn't play any games.So, I moved the Hauppauge WinTV card down two slots to get it out of the way. Now, for some reason, I can get sound from all my saved movies, DVDs, Windows Media Player, Winamp, iTunes, video games and so on. When I test my speakers using the Sound element of my Control Panel, it works fine.But I CAN'T get any Windows system sounds the startup noise, the ping when you change the volume, or worst of all any Flash sounds from online video.What's up with that?I'll be watching this question throughout the day. I'll add any details you ask for.
